The Rubiu Winery was founded by the will of Antioco Efisio Luigi, who began farming and winemaking in 1890. He will continue the production by passing on to his children the tradition of life in the cellar, in which the crops marked the seasons of the year..
It was precisely the sons, Albino, Lino and Virgilio who in the 50s, thanks to the shops in the city of Iglesias, made the Cantina Rubiu brand famous. Currently managed by Lino's children, our winery continues to promote the traditional production of crops, the historicity of the vineyards and strictly organic.
Monica, Alicante (vineyard of Spanish origin today owned in Sardinia only by the Rubiu Winery), Carignano and Vermentino are the pillars on which our history is based and are still the predominant factor.
